    Mongrels Head Coaches Meeting with FCA Director UPDATE

    • February Sunday, 26th at 5:00 PM: MakeUp Coaches Meeting at Boston's 1) John Hampton from the FCA will to speak with all Head Coaches and review the upcoming season. We have documents to complete and be turned into Tracy as he will be the Mongrels FCA liaison. 2) Coach Phil to address specific academic goals for the organization this year. 3) Website training and coaches access. 4) Would like all the coaches to agree on 2 potential tournaments that all the teams can participate in.

    Mandatory Parents Meeting with Dr. Yolanda Brooks of FCA
    • 7:30pm-9:00pm
    • Stonebriar Church
    • We are awaiting for confirmation on Stonebriar Church or Frisco RoughRiders Stadium. Dr. Yolanda Brooks will speak to our parents and coaching staff. At least 1 parent MUST attend but it is strongly encouraged to have both their if possible. Also, Chris will be on site to collect all Mongrel documents and notarize, so please have your parents bring the paperwork. Her extensive experience working with individuals in high profile and high stress includes her former roles as a Senior Director of Player Development for the National Basketball Association as well as her role in the National Football League. At the NBA she was responsible for providing day-to-day support to the league's team-level player programs and initiatives; she also operated as an intervention specialist for critical issues and incidents. For the NFL, she was involved in the assessment, development and implementation of a nationally recognized model program for the world-famous Dallas Cowboys football team. She served as Director of this program for over seven years. During this period, she was involved with the NFL’s league office in developing and guiding programs and services implemented at the team level. She continues her work as a Psychological Consultant to NBA and NFL teams, coaches, players and their families.

    2nd Annual "Strikes Against Cancer" Tournament in McKinney, Texas 2012

    • The 2nd Annual “Strikes Against Cancer”, a USSSA sanctioned tournament, will be hosted in McKinney, Texas on May 4th, 5th and 6th of 2012. The Tournament will be played at Triple Creek Academy, The Ballfields at Craig Ranch, The City of McKInney Fields; Mouzon, Gabe Nesbitt Community Fields (5 Plex and 3 Community), and Towne Lake. On October 18th, 2011, The Mayor of McKinney, Brain Loughmiller, and the City Council signed a Proclamation that the First Weekend of every May will be forever known as “Strikes Against Cancer Weekend” for Geordon and his mother Lisa.     TEXAS AAYBA World Series WEEK #1 (Odds: 7U, 9U, 11U, & 13U)

    • Week #1 - Fri 6/22 (early check-in) through Sat 6/30 with Sunday 7/1 rain date (7U, 9U, 11U, & 13U) Registration: AAYBA will not reserve any spots in any tournament without full payment. To register and pay you must complete the online registration process - upon completion of registration you will be prompted to print a hard copy of the tournament application. This application has the mailing address for AAYBA as to where to mail your check. We do not accept credit cards. Teams that register online prior will have their spot held for seven days which will enable you ample time to mail your check. However, as the tournament comes closer to filling even registering online won't hold your spot as other teams may be in the same situation and their check may arrive first. Don't delay get your entries in ASAP. Be sure you are connected to a printer as you will be downloading an actual application, rosters forms, vendor information, etc.
